We had such a fun week earning with our stuffies! Read below to hear about all of the fun things we did this week!
Monday
In math, we explored the concept of height. We looked around the classroom and found something taller and something shorter than our stuffies then we drew our answers in our books. We also measured how many cubes tall our stuffies were.
Tuesday
We drew a picture of our stuffy in our journal and wrote about it. Ask your child what they wrote!
Wednesday
We explored the concept of weight. We used balances to find things that were heavier, lighter and the same as our stuffies.
Thursday
Even though it was not teddy related, we had to squeeze in some plant observations. Ask your child if they can tell you how the plants have changed this week. We read a non-fiction book about leaves. Ask your child if they can tell you what the leaves do for the plant!
We also had our Teddy Bear Picnic! We took our bears and snacks outside for a picnic and play time.
Friday
The morning class read a non-fiction book about bears and then drew and wrote facts about bears in our journal. Ask your child what they wrote.
We also started making spring cherry blossom trees, next week we will use Q-tips to make the cherry blossoms!
Dates and Information:
- Next week will be our last week to sign out Library books. If you want to sign out one more book, make sure your books are returned in time!
- PM class attends on Friday, June 5th
- Reminder: Please leave all personal items (toys, fidgets, special items) unless communicated from the school. We are having many issues with lost, stolen or broken items and we are not able to use precious learning time to sort these things out daily. We have lots of toys and supplies on hand in our classroom! Thank you for your help with this!
