We had a great last week leading up to Spring Break. I hope everyone enjoys their break and I am excited to hear all about what you did over the break. Read below to see what we have been learning about this week!
Monday
We learned a new lively letter. Ask your child:
- What letter is this?
- What sound does it make?
- What are some words that begin with this letter?
Tuesday
We explored the different ways we can compose the number 5. Ask your child to tell you the different ways they can make number 5.
Wednesday
We drew a whale in our journal and wrote sentences about it. We used the sentence starters:
The whale is...
The whale has...
Ask your child what they wrote!
Thursday
We worked at our literacy centers again. Ask your child to tell you what they worked on.
Sorry, no pictures because Mrs. Noftall was busy working and reading with students!!
New I Pads
Our class was lucky enough to receive 5 new I pads to use to support our learning. Students will be taking turns using the I pads during our literacy center time and play time. Students will be working on the App Duo ABC. This app allows to students to work at their own personal level on letters, sounds and words. This is a free app you can download use at home to help your child practice literacy skills at home.
