Food Impact Program Reminder
Thank you to everyone who has returned their consent forms for the food impact program that we will be participating in on April 30th, this coming Thursday. If you have not yet returned yours, please sign and return it as soon as possible or let me know if you need a new copy. If a child does not have a signed consent form, they will participate in the instruction but will not be allowed to eat any of the food.

Monday
Students worked at literacy centers while Mrs. Noftall read or worked with students. Ask your child what centers they worked at!
Tuesday
We read a story called "Acorns for Wilaiya" Then we worked on the following math problem:
Wilaiya found 10 acorns.
Some are brown. Some are green.
How many are brown and how many are green?
Students used pictures, words and numbers to show their ideas. There is more than one right answer to this question! Ask your child to tell you how they solved it. Can they think of different ways to solve it?
Wednesday
Today was Earth Day! We read "The Earth Book" by Todd Parr. Then we talked about different ways to take care of the Earth and protect the environment and why it is so important. Then we drew a picture of the Earth and wrote about something we could do to take care of the Earth in their journal. Ask your child what they wrote!
Thursday
In math, we practiced composing (putting together) numbers using dice and completing a ladybug math page, where we filled in dots and number bonds to make different numbers!
